Raising Art Collecting to an Art Form

GE MONEY AND PARK WEST GALLERY DEBUTS CONSUMER CREDIT CARD

KETTERING, Ohio. -- June 8, 2007 – GE Money’s Sales Finance unit and Park West Gallery®, The world’s largest art dealer, today announced a new, multi-year relationship to provide consumer financing through the Park West Gallery Collectors Card.

The credit program will be available exclusively for art purchases made through the gallery, its affiliate locations and auctions throughout the U.S., as well as cruise ship art auctions conducted by Park West at Sea®. Customers can use the card to buy original artwork of all varieties and price ranges through Park West’s various venues.

Through the Park West Gallery Collectors Card, art buyers will benefit from an easy application process, fast credit decisions, flexible financing terms and interest free promotions, and information about special showings and events. In addition, when clients use the card they become a part of the Park West client base, which now numbers nearly one million collectors. Park West conducts special invitation only events and auctions throughout North America. Many feature appearances by world-renowned artists.

“People come to our auctions to truly experience the art,” said Albert Scaglione, owner of Park West Gallery. “Our business is founded on the belief that the entire encounter should be an art form in and of itself. We’re excited to partner with GE Money, whose vast financing experience will only enhance our ability to reach collectors and art lovers around the world.”

The international art world is currently experiencing an increase of new collectors taking advantage of the enduring enjoyment of art collecting. Many more people are beginning to realize how enriching art collecting can be to one’s life. Particularly in today’s world of disposable and obsolete items for consumption, the purchase of a fine work of art, which will never wear out, never stop providing pleasure, can be passed on for generations, and often increase in value is a hard acquisition experience to match. Park West is delighted with the opportunities the Collectors Card will bring to clients to make this experience even more accessible.

“An art gallery is a great place to learn about art, and Park West Gallery has built relationships with artists, dealers, agents and collectors over the last 38 years to be leaders in bringing proper information and extraordinary artwork to collectors all over the world,” said Stephen Roe, vice president of emerging markets for Sales Finance. “We couldn’t be more pleased to collaborate with them to help bring the beauty of art to beginning, seasoned and discriminating collectors alike.”
