Jewel of a New York Retailer Chooses GE Money Credit Program

‘MICHAEL C. FINA’ DEBUTS CREDIT CARD

KETTERING, OHIO  -- January 4, 2007 – GE Money’s Sales Finance unit and celebrated New York jewelry retailer Michael C. Fina today announced a new consumer credit program. The new Michael C. Fina credit card is now available through the company’s two New York locations.

Michael C. Fina is a 71-year-old business with stores on Fifth Avenue in Midtown Manhattan and in the Bay Ridge area of Brooklyn. The retailer carries an extensive line of fine jewelry, china, flatware, and gifts.

“Service has always been a cornerstone of our business and we believe offering our customers a wider range of financing options and service backed by GE Money will be an excellent growth tool for us,” said Jeffrey Fina, owner of Michael C. Fina Company. “A branded credit card program also helps foster greater customer loyalty.”

The consumer jewelry industry in the United States is estimated at more than $40 billion annually. New York is considered the hub of the jewelry business in this country.

“Michael C. Fina has successfully stayed ahead of trends, responded to customer needs, delivered first-class service and broadened their product offerings,” explained Mike Friguletto, vice president of Sales for GE Money’s Sales Finance unit. “Our objective is to be the best financing partner we can possibly be by providing an easy application process, fast credit decisions and excellent credit services, enabling Michael C. Fina to close more sales and develop deeper relationships with their customers.”
