GE Money and Echo Incorporated Introduce Finance Program on Outdoor Power Equipment

KETTERING, Ohio — November 25, 2008 — GE Money and ECHO Incorporated, a leading manufacturer of hand-held landscaping equipment, today announced a multi-year agreement on a credit program. ECHO landscaping maintenance products can be found at more than 6,000 independent dealers across the U.S.
The private label Power Equipment Card program, managed by GE Money’s Sales Finance unit, offers a revolving credit option on ECHO hand-held outdoor power equipment. The program offers a simple application process, fast credit decisions, competitive rates, promotions and exclusive offers for cardholders.

“Selecting GE Money as our financing program provider was an easy decision,” said Mike Best, vice president of sales for ECHO. “Their product is backed by consistent high levels of dealer service, and GE Money’s ongoing commitment to continued technology and marketing development makes them the right choice for our dealers and their customers.”

According to the Outdoor Power Equipment Institute, maintaining lawns and landscapes regularly with outdoor power equipment is vital for greater efficiency and maximizes lawn and landscape health benefits. Healthy lawns can cool surrounding temperatures, reduce particulate matter, act as a sound buffer and increase property values. These benefits are behind many commercial and residential landowners’ decisions to purchase the equipment that lets them make the most of their surrounding landscape.

“We’re pleased to work with ECHO on offering their customers a customized credit option,” said Gary Slagle, vice president and general manager of the Outdoor Power Equipment industry for GE Money - Sales Finance.
